Having been through the pain of discovering my infertility, the long journey of learning how to maximise my chances and the heartache of undergoing assisted reproduction treatments I feel qualified to talk to you about female fertility issues.
I don’t want this to be a medical questions and answers site. There are plenty of those already. I am not a qualified doctor so if you want to ask a medical question there are places you can do that online.
I want to focus information on this site more towards teaching you how to get pregnant naturally by improving your lifestyle and general health. It makes a massive difference.
If you have to go through assisted reproduction treatment such as IVF or ICSI then the information you will find here will allow you to make choices to help give you a much greater chance of a successful treatment.
Assisted Repro - a Step Too Far?
Many people would disagree but I believe that the ends justify the means when it comes to assisted reproduction. Happily, it worked for me but I read many, many stories during my learning phase where couples had tried IVF more than 10 times.
The problem is it’s easy to start suffering tunnel vision when treatments are unsuccessful and this can allow your subconcious to start making you believe that you can’t get pregnant. The mind is a powerful thing.
And if there’s any chance at all you must never give up hope. Thousands of women have problems getting pregnant and you are not alone. The wonderful thing is pregnancy often happens when you least expect it. However there are things you can do to drastically improve your chances when trying to get pregnant.
